icISTIS – 2016 – the first International Conference on Innovations in Sports, Tourism and Instructional Science was held on December 8-9, 2016.
The Conference was supported by the Ministry of Physical Education and Sport and the Ministry of Education and Science of Chelyabinsk Oblast.
The Conference welcomed delegates from Russia, Kazakhstan, Iraq, and Ukraine.
The 2016 Conference had the following purposes:
1. To discuss challenging questions and issues concerning
• Sports and sport training system
• Physical education and human health
• Neurophysiological aspects of motor activity
• Training in the field of physical education, sports, and tourism
• Industry of tourism and service
2. To share ideas and experience in scientific, educational, and project activity at the premises of various educational institutions;
3. To determine directions, ways, and approaches to further development of research and educational activity in the field of physical education, sports, and tourism.
The first day of the Conference was dedicated to a topical lecture, plenary session, and discussion club on sports and sport training system.
Speakers:
Ivan P. Sivokhin – Merited Coach of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Sc.D., PhD in Educational Science, head of research and educational center, Kostanay State Pedagogical Institute (Kostanay, the Republic of Kazakhstan) – conducted the topical lecture titled as "System of elite athletes' training: scientific ideas, methodical assets, and practical implementation"
Eduard N. Abramov, PhD in Biological Sciences, associate professor, executive secretary of the Coordination Group of the Ministry of Sport of the Russian Federation for experimental and advanced activities in physical education and sport, Federal Center for Sport Reserve Training, Moscow.
The report titled as "Integrative assessment of body system at relative rest and fighting practices in kickboxing" was presented by Anatoly V. Shevtsov, Sc.D., PhD in Biological Sciences, professor of Lesgaft National State University of Physical Education, Sport and Health, Saint-Petersburg.
The discussion club was managed and guided by moderator Alexander P. Isaev, Honored Scientist of the RF, Sc.D., PhD in Biological Sciences, professor, head of the Research Center for Sports Science, ISTS, SUSU.
The second day of the Conference was dedicated to a topical lecture, plenary session, and discussion club on physical education and human health.

Evgeny A. Cherepov, Sc.D., associate professor, head of the Department of Physical Education and Health, SUSU.
Kukh Abdul Rakhman Akhmed Mosa – Diyala University (the Republic of Iraq), weightlifting trainer, SUSU postgraduate student.
Tulegen A. Boragariev, Sc.D., PhD in Educational Science, professor of Aktobe Regional State University, the Republic of Kazakhstan.
The Conference was attended by over 300 delegates including principals and specialists of the Ministry of Physical Education and Sport of Chelyabinsk Oblast, the Department of Physical Education, Sport and Tourism of City Administration of Chelyabinsk, university and college lecturers, coaches, physical education teachers, supplementary education professors, postgraduates, students, sport industry representatives, scientists, and inventors.
The Conference Proceedings comprised 61 papers.

INSTITUTE OF SPORTS, TOURISM AND SERVICE OF SUSU
Institute of Sports, Tourism and Service (ISTS) constituent of South Ural State University is a large scientific and educational entity.
